Be ready for the 2025 PSTN switch off
Openreach Wholesale Line Rental (WLR), the traditional PSTN voice service, is now end of sale and due to be fully switched off in 2025. The PSTN switch off in 2025 also spells the end for services that run over WLR, such as ADSL Broadband and FTTC broadband.
Whilst SOGEA (Single Order Generic Ethernet Access) offers a transitional copper-based service until Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) broadband is more widely available, it’s not yet available everywhere.
MPF makes use of the copper telephone cables already in the ground, to deliver traditional DSL services and FTTC services, albeit without the WLR voice line that is now being discontinued. However, an “over the top” PSTN replacement IP voice service can be delivered alongside MPF broadband.
How will MPF Broadband benefit your customers?
Unlimited data
Businesses will have all the data they need to meet their requirements with no extra fees or usage caps to worry about.
Viable interim solution
MPF broadband bridges the gap until FTTP broadband services are more widely available, meaning those customers unable to switch to FTTP have a viable solution until they can change.
Data-only service
There is no need for a separate line rental for a telephone service your customers don’t need which saves on costs and set up time.
Quick and easy installation
Customers can get up and running quickly as the service is installed on existing copper telephone lines, with no need for additional infrastructure and associated costs.
Reasonable speeds
In areas where FTTC infrastructure is available, some customers can get up to 80Mb download speeds and 20Mb upload speeds.
No long commitments
MPF broadband is offered on a 12-month minimum contract, meaning your customers do not need to be tied in for a lengthy period and can move to an FTTP service more quickly once it’s available.
